Session 2: $185. June 19-23, EcoArts Camp

International Community School (Decatur)

Come explore and make art with us. Each day campers choose their adventures . . . birdwatching, collecting insects and creating a habitat, using the microscope to see what lives in the compost, learning the names of the trees and wild plants . . . and much more. Campers build, sculpt, mold and assemble play structures and site-specific art in nature. Pine cone mandalas, fairy gardens, forts, woven structures, play houses, and villages made of gathered and found materials create a magical interactive play environment. Nature is filled with treasures and materials for artistic exploration and imaginative play! Traditional camp crafts such as friendship bracelets, and community building songs and games, create a summer camp experience that is truly memorable. Along with exploration and making art, campers make friends, team up to create together, and focus on summer fun!

Session 5: $345. July 10-14, Farm to Table

Atlanta International School (Buckhead)

Whether you are already a budding chef, full on foodie fanatic, love gardening, or just enjoy sharing a snack with friends, this camp has something for you. Campers will visit local farms where we will tour and harvest some of the foods we will be preparing. With a focus on fruits and vegetables, we easily include campers who are vegan or on a special diet. Here’s some of the yummy things we will be making: smoothies, herbal sun tea, zoodles, cookies, popsicles, spring rolls, salads, and don’t forget the dips, dressings and sauces! The rhythm of our day will include tending to the herb plantings, turning the compost bin, and harvesting our container garden of cucumbers, tomatoes, and peppers. Campers have plenty of activities to choose from throughout each day and everyone shares in lots of tasting and good eating!
